Zilele trecut … Continue reading

Parada militara in 1941
Continue reading

Cu baietii in ’44
Imi place imaginea asta, are un aer special. Continue reading

Bucurestiul sub ocupatie Germana – partea a doua
Imaginea de mai sus vine in completarea unui articol anterior. Fotografia, facuta probabil in acelasi 1917, il prezinta pe Guvernatorul Romaniei ocupate, Generalfeldmarschall August von Mackensen in parada din Piata Victoriei.

Continue reading

Bucurestiul sub ocupatie Germana
Am primit doua fotografii foarte interesante realizate in timpul unei parade mililare germane pe Calea Victoriei, in Bucuresti. Fotografiile sunt realizate in Primul Razboi Mondial, cel mai probabil in anul 1917, in timp ce orasul se afla sub ocupatie Germana … Continue reading

Bucurestiul in 1941 (cu doua zile inaintea eliberarii Basarabiei)

The Saigon Execution
On the second day of the Tet Offensive, Edward Thomas Adams and an NBC news crew heard gunfire. They followed the noise to a street corner where South Vietnamese soldiers were leading a handcuffed Viet Cong captive to Lt. Col. … Continue reading

Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima
If you’ll make a top of the world’s most important war pictures, this Pulizer wining image will be on the first place for sure. For Americans, if they have to describe “patriotism” in a single picture, this will be more than enough.

I’m sure that some of you already know the pictures and the history of this man but I have to publish these images here anyway. It is very strange for me to see the eyes of a man who will … Continue reading
